Lorraine Carter, PhD

Dr. Lorraine Carter has an extensive research and practice-based portfolio in issues of health and education. She is particularly interested in the intersection of the two disciplines as well as innovative and technology-enabled solutions when there may be disincentives such as limited resources, physical distance, and time constraints. Her interest in organizational and worker-based wellness stems from 25 years of working in northern organizations where these issues too often permeate the workplace.
Dr. Carter publishes and presents regularly in national and international venues. In Spring 2013, she received two national awards: the Distinguished Researcher Award as bestowed by the Canadian Association of University Continuing Education and the Distinguished Leadership Award as presented by the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education.
